World cancer day
Globe Cancer Day 2022: Every year on February 4th, people all around the world mark World Cancer Day to raise awareness, inspire action, and minimize the worldwide burden of cancer. The goal is to minimize cancer misunderstandings and biases in order to assist individuals in receiving accurate information about it. It also provides an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients and survivors. World Cancer Day has been recognized a "global unifying endeavor" by the Union of International Cancer Control (UICC).
Theme for World Cancer Day 2022
'Close the Care Gap' is the theme of World Cancer Day 2022. It all comes down to knowing and recognizing disparities in cancer care throughout the world. The issue centres around recognizing and acknowledging worldwide gaps in cancer care that prohibit people from specific socioeconomic groups from having full access to key healthcare services and facilities. Cancer care inequity kills people. The day was established on February 4, 2000, in Paris, France, during the World Cancer Conference for the New Millennium
The Importance of World Cancer Day
The primary goal of the day is to promote awareness about the condition and to minimize the social stigma connected with it. Cancer is the world's second largest cause of death. Lung, breast, cervical, head & neck, and colorectal cancer are the most common malignancies among Indians (CRC). On World Cancer Day, everyone gets together with the goal of making the world a healthier and brighter place free of cancer. Numerous events are scheduled on this day to educate and raise awareness about cancer and its early diagnosis, treatment, and other aspects.
