Safer Internet day
The Internet is an incredible technology that has changed the world in more ways than we can imagine. Unfortunately, not all of those approaches have been positive. We can connect with people more quickly, find things more quickly, and move data at the speed of light. These same benefits of communication can become a safety hazard. Because so much of our personal information and lives are shared over the internet, Safer Internet Day serves as a reminder to protect ourselves and make the internet a little safer for everyone.
Safer Internet day history.
Safer Internet Day began in 2012 when the US Department of Homeland Security and the European Commission determined it was time to help shepherd the Internet's enormous beast into a safer playground for our children. In 2013, ConnectSafely.org was designated to organize the activities in the American theatre, and they've been pressing it forward a bit more every year since then. Each year, they choose a subject to promote and a goal to achieve. What kind of objectives do you have in mind?
They began promoting the subject "Actions & Activism toward a Better Net & World" in 2015, focusing on issues such as bullying and integration with the National Parent Teacher Association, as well as seeking to use technology to assist influence social change. This is a particularly effective application of the instrument because it allows individuals from all walks of life and cultures to interact and communicate in ways they never could before. That was the purpose of the Internet, what it brought us, and the world it helped to unite.
