Wooden street, an e-commerce furniture company, recently opened its largest warehouse in Jodhpur with an area of over 2.5 lakhs sq ft.
At the core of this planned expansion, which sits at 5 million sq ft, we have set afoot a larger drive of broadening our business at the grassroots level,” said Lokendra Ranawat, CEO of WoodenStreet. “By augmenting our expansion to Make-in-India initiative, we plan to empower local artisans through our platform, enabling them to expand their trade horizons across the nation and making it easier for them to do business.”
The company is going to invest $5 million for expanding its reach to grass root level in the country. To expand its supply-chain reach, recently the company opened its branch in West Bengal, Kerala and the Delhi-NCR.
Started in 2015 as an online brand and now has over 25 experience stores and has a plan to open over 50 experience stores across the country within this year. The company claimed that over 500 Indian artisans' craft has been brought by the company under the Make-in-India initiative.
