A team of 10 experts is to visit China in the first week of January 2021 as decided in the last month. After the COVID-19 outbreak in the last year, many countries have demanded a transparent enquiry on the origin of the COVID-19. The first case of strange pneumonia was detected in the Hubei province of Wuhan, China on 31 December 2019. The origin of COVID-19 is believed a wet market from where coronavirus jumped into the humans. China has rejected this speculation and claim that coronavirus entered China through friezed and canned food from Europe where the genome of coronavirus was found as early as March 2019.
WHO told that the problem was clearances of Visas where China has blamed that there is lack of clearances in the details including date of visit. WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told that he was very disappointed on not finalising the permissions of the team's arrival.
The origin of the virus is not the place where the epidemic starts. Team members told there is need to find stronger proofs in Wuhan for determining the origin of the virus. The team would leave for a six-weeks visit including a two-weeks of quarantine.
