Just two days after his appointment as additional advocate general Punjab by the outgoing advocate general (AG) APS Deol, advocate Mukesh Berry resigned from the post on Wednesday. “Without commenting upon the decision of the Punjab government in accepting the resignation of APS Deol, I hereby submit my resignation from the post of additional advocate general Punjab which would be deemed to be accepted from the date of its submission,” says the letter submitted by Berry.
In his letter communicated to the Punjab government, Berry has suggested that it (government) should not ridicule and diminish the status and dignity of senior advocates of the HC.
His suggestion was with reference to unceremonious exit of senior advocate Deol from the post of AG Punjab.
