According to senior Biden top officials, when the leaders of the United States, Canada, and Mexico finally meet in five years on Thursday (Nov 18), they are expected to agree on additional methane limitations and COVID-19 vaccine contributions.
As part of its efforts to reduce the strong greenhouse gas, US officials anticipate the three North American countries to agree to limit methane emissions in their oil and gas industries by 60% to 75% by 2030. According to one of the officials who declined to be identified, Canada and Mexico will also declare that they will donate millions of doses of the vaccines - which were originally given to them by the US - to other countries.
The agreements are part of President Joe Biden's effort to resurrect the so-called Three Amigos, a joint committee that was disbanded by his forerunner, Donald Trump.
