As the Indian festival, IPL resumes Chennai Super Kings have made their way to the top of the table.
This season is played in UAE, due to the COVID outbreak in India. The IPL tournament was suspended in the month of may, as many players tested positive. BCCI said that they don’t want to compromise with the safety and so second phase of IPL 2021 is now played in UAE.
The very first match of second phase was played in Dubai, and Chennai showed all why C in CSK stands for comeback. As CSK lost their 4 wickets in the powerplay itself, and the team and fans had all eyes on Ruturaj. Because of an extra ordinary innings by Ruturaj Gaikwad, then some runs by Jadeja and then a finish by champion Bravo in the end made Chennai make a score of 156, for the defending champion Mumbai Indians.
CSK won the match by 20 runs, as Mumbai lost their wickets early. And no partnership in the middle to take the team to the score of 156. Sourab Tiwari was the one man show but could not make it up to the mark. Rohit and Hardik absence may be the reason why Mumbai had to suffer a unexpected loss. As the target was not much for the defending champs.
Today there is a match between RCB and KKR, fans are very much excited for this rivalry.
Commencement of this tournament brings a different kind of joy among the fans. As this league is probably the biggest league of the world. Fans are looking for more exciting matches like these.
