Syed Tufail Hasan, the Samajwadi Party MP from Moradabad, has demanded a ban on the film 'The Kashmir Files’.
He claimed that the film incites hatred between two religions, which could have a negative impact on the country's social harmony. The Samajwadi Party MP also stated that the film did not depict anything close to reality, and that there were instances of fist fights among moviegoers after seeing the film. He stated that there was sufficient justification for prohibiting the film. If 'The Kashmir Files' is not banned, Hasan believes that films depicting all major communal riots in the country should be made. He stated that films such as 'Gujarat Files,' 'Moradabad Files,' and 'Bhagalpur Files' would begin to be made, and that they would also need to be approved by the Censor Board. According to the Samajwadi Party MP, everyone shared the pain and anguish felt by Kashmiri Hindus, and it was indeed painful to be a refugee in one's own country. The MP from Moradabad questioned where India would go if a cycle of hatred between the two major communities began. He claimed that such films would exacerbate the trust gap between the two communities. He demanded that the government expedite the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Hindus in the Kashmir valley.
