Russia launches missile strikes on strongholds of Ukrainian 'nationalists'
The Russian Aerospace Forces launched rocket attacks on Ukrainian "nationalist" strongholds, according to the Russian Defense Ministry in Moscow. According to the Ministry, the strikes were carried out in pairs from low and extremely low altitudes, as reported by RT News. "A stronghold of a company of Ukrainian nationalists and camouflaged armored vehicles were destroyed as a result of an air strike," it said. Meanwhile, Ukraine's Ministry of Defense announced that the country's armed forces no longer have access to the Sea of Azov. Major General Igor Konashenkov, an official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, had previously announced the complete blockage of Ukrainian forces' access to the Sea of Azov. "Advanced detachments of the DPR People's Militia reached the administrative border of the Donetsk region and connected with military units of the Russian Armed Forces, which took control of the regions of Ukraine along the Sea of Azov's coast," Konashenkov said. According to him, "the exit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the Sea of Azov is completely blocked as of today."
