The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority has registered over 23 per cent jump in subscriber base under its two flagship schemes.: NPS and APY. In April 2020, there were 3.46 subscribers in these two schemes which have now raised to 4.27 crore.
The Asset under Management (AUm) of these two schemes jumped by 36 per cent to Rs 5.90 lakh crore in the first month of this fiscal year. The National Pension Service scheme,e is mainly for the organised sector employee and Atal Pension Yojana is for the unorganised sector employees. The major jump is in the subscribers of the APY scheme.
