Petrol and Diesel Prices Today in Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, and Hyderabad: Petrol and Diesel prices were raised today for the first time in 18 days after remaining unchanged for the previous 18 days. Petrol prices in Delhi have increased by 15 paise to Rs 90.55 per litre today, while diesel prices have increased by 18 paise to Rs 80.91 per litre. Mumbai continues to have the highest fuel rates, with Petrol costing Rs 96.95 per litre. Fuel prices are revised on a regular basis by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) in accordance with international benchmark prices and foreign exchange rates.
Today, the price of petrol in Mumbai is the highest among major cities, at Rs 96.95 per litre, an increase of 12 paise. Diesel costs Rs 87.98 per litre in the country's financial hub, up 17 paise from yesterday. The price difference between Delhi and Mumbai is due to the fact that different cities have different prices. Freight charges, state fees, and VAT are all factored into the price of gasoline and diesel. The base price of petrol in Delhi was Rs 32.61 per litre until yesterday, with a freight fee of Rs 0.28 per litre. Dealers will be paid Rs 32.89 per litre, plus an excise tax of Rs 32.90 per litre. A dealer commission of Rs 3.75 per litre, as well as Rs 20.86 per litre, is added to the total.
