The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan said India will be benefitted economically by having peace with his country as it will enable New Delhi to have direct access to the resource-rich Central Asia region through the Pakistani territory.
“India will have to take the first step. Unless they do so, we cannot do much,” he said delivering the inaugural address at the launch of the two-day Islamabad Security Dialogue.
Mr . Khan added that he did everything to improve their ties with India after coming to power in 2018 and now it was not for India to reciprocate.
Last month, India expressed its desire to have normal neighborly relations with Pakistan in an environment free of terror and violence and added that the onus for creating such environment lies on Pakistan.
India asked Islamabad to take demonstrable steps against terror groups responsible for launching various attacks on India and said that 'talks and terror' cannot go together.
Mr. Khan discussed Pakistan's vision of comprehensive national security, built on the pillars of traditional and non-traditional security, including his vision for economic prosperity and human welfare.
