Prime minister Modi will launch the start of the Covid-19 Vaccination drive on Saturday, through which 3006 Vaccination sites across the country will be connected via video-conferencing.
The prime minister's office said that Modi will address the sites where over three crore priority groups will be vaccinated over the next few months. "Around 100 beneficiaries will be vaccinated at each session site on an inaugural day," the government said.
A senior health ministry official said that the beneficial list for the first day has been released on the Co-WIN platform.
"The vaccination session is from 9 am to 5 pm. Whoever comes till 5 pm will be vaccinated even after 5 pm, just like how it happens in elections," an official said.
The bulk registrations of healthcare workers have already taken place so they don't need to individually register for the same.
A 24×7 helpline number-1075 has been created to address the queries related to vaccine rollout and Co-WIN software.
The health ministry also said that the next National Polio immunization day has been rescheduled to January 31, from January 17, saying that the health services should not adversely impact each other.
