The Government asserted in Lok Sabha that it was ready to discuss the issues related to farmers both inside and outside the parliament amid vociferous protests by the opposition, because of which the house was adjourned twice.
Agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar said during Zero Hour which began at 5 PM. He asserted that Modi Government is always ready to discuss government issues.
Mr. Tomar's reply came after when the opposition Congress leader in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury claimed that 170 farmers had died during these ongoing protests related to Three Farm laws.
Members from opposition are continuously raising slogans against the three contentious farm bills calling it Three black laws.
After the multiple adjournment in both the houses, the opposition asked ti have discussions on Farm laws but the Chairperson of the house denied stating that it can't be discussed unless it is discussed in Lok Sabha.
But finally the govt. And the opposition reached on consensus to allocate 15 hours for discussion in Rajya Sabha to discuss on farmers protests against the three agricultural laws.
Prime minister will reply to President's speech on February 8 in Rajya Sabha.
Also, 3 AAP Rajya Sabha's MP were suspended for a day.
The first session will end on February 13 instead of February 15 and second phase will begin on March 8. The session will go on till April 8.
