Mehbooba Mufti, the leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been put under house arrest till further orders. She led a rally in Jammu on Wednesday against security personnel killing civilians. Mehbooba Mufti, who led the demonstration, asserted that the corpses of the deceased be returned to their families.
According to the former chief minister, there was no transparency for the attacks on civilians since the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) was enacted.
