Decision Taken In student ' Interest ' : Karnataka High Court Refuses to cancel SSLC Exams
The Karnataka High Court has resist to interfere with the decision of the state government to hold SSLC exam in physical from the student of class 10th from 9 July 19.
A division bench of comprising Honorable justice BV Nagarathna and Honorable justice Hanchate Sanjeev Kumar observe that the holding of exams was in the interest of students and the state has taken sufficient precautionary measures against covid-19 pandemic.
The bench reject a PIL filed seeking cancellation of exam as lacking in merit.
The bench observe that 2PUC exam was canceled, it cannot be argued that SSLC exam should also be cancelled.The petitioner submitted that if the student are forced to give exams there are there are chances of covid-19 infection. The Court said that no students should be forced to give exams either by the parents or state. Last year also the High Court has reject a similar challenge and had allowed the state to conduct exam with certain additional guidelines.
