New Zealand police on Wednesday arrested a man who was seen smashing the parliament doors with axe. The reason why man attacked is unclear and the New Zealand police is still investigating the cause behind it.
He just attacked the Parliament building and did not attempted to enter the building.
Police was called in parliament building known as Beehive after a 31 year-old man was spotted breaking the glass panels.
New Zealand's lawmakers are on a summer break and there were only a few people in building when this accident occurred.
The man will appear in the Wellington district court. He has been charged with intentional damage and possession of an offensive weapon.
Last year in 2019, one more rare attack happened when Climate Change Minister James Shaw was punched in the face while he was walking to work.
