President Jair Bolsonaro of Brazil thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for shipping two million doses of India's coronavirus vaccine to Brazil.
The Brazillian President tweeted in Portuguese, and said “Thank you for helping us with vaccine exports from India to Brazil.- Dhanyavaad!”
The tweet also had a picture of Lord Hanuman bringing a mountain of coronavirus vaccine to Brazil as 'Sanjeevani Booti' from India to Brazil. Bolsonaro thanked India for supporting his country with the jabs.
The image was a reference to a tale in the Ramayana epic wherein Lord Hanuman lifted the entire Dronagiri mountain to deliver 'Sanjeevni booti', a magical life-saving herb, to Lanka to save Lord Ram's brother Lakshman, who was wounded in a war.
In recent days, India has supplied neighboring countries, including Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Myanmar and Bangladesh, with COVID-19 vaccines manufactured in the country.
