Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Thursday that India has written history as the number of Covid-19 vaccine doses provided in the country crossed the 100 million mark, and that the country now has a strong protective barrier to face the worst epidemic in a century. Modi praised the vaccination milestone as a triumph of Indian science, enterprise, and the collective spirit of 130 million Indians, and he paid a visit to Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital, where he met with healthcare and frontline staff as well as people who were receiving vaccinations. Modi stated this day, October 21, 2021, has been recorded in history while speaking via video conference after inaugurating the Infosys Foundation Vishram Sadan at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) on the Jhajjar Campus of New Delhi AIIMS. "The country now possesses a powerful protective barrier of 100 crore vaccine doses to face the worst epidemic in a century." "This success belongs to India, to every Indian citizen," he remarked, thanking all who participated in the initiative. "India writes history," Modi tweeted. We are seeing the victory of Indian science, business and 130 crore Indians' collective spirit. Congratulations on reaching the milestone of 100 million vaccines in India. Thank you to our physicians, nurses, and everyone else who helped us achieve our goal." He continued, "Today, on the occasion of India's #VaccineCentury, I visited a vaccination center at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. The vaccine has given our citizens a sense of pride and protection."
