In October 2021, Reliance Jio added the most active mobile users among the top telcos, maintaining its market leadership in terms of overall active user base count.
Jio, led by Mukesh Ambani, added 3.1 million active customers in October, bringing its total active user base to 358 million. According to an examination of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India's (Trai) recent subscriber data, Bharti Airtel NSE 1.33 per cent lost 0.8 million subscribers, bringing its active user count to 346 million. On the active user market share front, Jio now has a 36 per cent advantage over Airtel (34.7 per cent). Vodafone Idea NSE 2.20 per cent (Vi) continues to lose active mobile consumers in October, dropping to 234 million active users and a 23.5 per cent active user share.
