Gujarat topped the Good Governance Index (GGI) composite rating, followed by Maharashtra and Goa, with Uttar Pradesh showing an incremental rise of 8.9% in the indicators released on Saturday by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the occasion of Good Governance Day. According to the indicator, as many as 20 states increased their aggregate GGI rankings in 2021.
Gujarat topped the 58-indicator composite rating, followed by Maharashtra and Goa. In the year 2019 to 2021, Uttar Pradesh's GGI indicators improved by 8.9%, while Jammu and Kashmir's indicators improved by 3.7 percent.
