Govt. set to hold 35.8% in Vodafone Idea

The board of directors of Vodafone India Ltd. late on Monday approved the conversion of interest- related to spectrum auction installments and AGR (adjusted gross revenue) dues to the government- into equity.
This means that after the conversion, the government would own 35.8% of the telecom carrier.
This is as per the scheme offered by the Department of Telecommunication (DoT) for settlement of dues.
