After 26 long-days in custody in the drug-on-cruise case, Aryan Khan has been finally released from jail.
Aryan Khan, Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant were booked under possession, consumption, sale/purchase of banned drugs and conspiracy under NDPS Act. While Dhamecha was at the Byculla women’s prison the other two were at the Arthur road prison in central Mumbai.
Aryan Khan along with Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant were granted bail yesterday but
the Bombay High Court has imposed 14 bail conditions on their release. The conditions put by Justice NW Sambre includes a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh, one or two sureties and a weekly visit to NCB office.
But Khan had to spend another night in jail as the formalities of the bail were not completed in time and the deadline of which is 5:30 pm.
Juhi Chawla, helped Shah Rukh Khan by acting as a surety for Aryan Khan, she visited the court for the verification process and was asked to sign some necessary documents.
But even after bail, Aryan Khan and the other two will have to surrender their passports before the NDPS court and they cannot leave India without taking permission from the special court. The accused should inform the NCB before leaving Mumbai. If the trio tries to infringe upon any of the 14 conditions then the NCB has the power to apply to the special judge/court for cancelling their bail.
The court further strictly stated that the trio should not indulge in any of the activities which are similar to the present case and is an offence under the NDPS Act.
