After nearly a year, the Delhi High Court will resume its complete physical functioning. The Full Court of Delhi High Court has decided to start the complete physical hearing of Cases from March 15.
Till March 12, the existing system of hearings will continue.
As per the new Circular :
"In continuation of this Court's Office Order No.1/RG/DHC/2021 dated 14.01.2021, Hon'ble Full Court has been pleased to order that the existing syst~m of hearing the matters in this Court shall continue upto 12.03.2021.
It has further been ordered that all Benches of this Court shall hold physical Courts, on a daily basis, with effect from 15.03.2021 and shall continue to take up the matters as per the existing arrangement of listing".
The court has urged advocates, litigants and other visitors to strictly adhere to the norms of social distancing and all other Covid-19 protocols.
After holding only virtual courts from March 2020 on account of COVID-19 pandemic, the High Court had resumed physical hearing in its premises a limited manner in September 2020.
Some Benches have even adopted the hybrid mode from conducting court proceedings.
Earlier this month, the Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA) had passed a resolution requesting Chief Justice DN Patel to pass directions for the expeditious resumption of complete physical functioning of courts in the capital.
